Privacy Policy

This describes how the ZyraSound application handles data. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be checked against your obligations before public launch.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and profile picture, provided when you sign up or sign in with Google.
- What you create — the loops you save, the tracks you publish, and the comments you write.
- Basic activity — likes, and a count of how many times a track was played.
- Connection measurements — round-trip timing between you and the people you play with, used to keep you in sync. These are used live and are not stored.
What we do not collect
- We do not record your microphone or camera. Voice and video in a room go directly between participants and are never stored or sent to us.
- We do not record your playing. A published track is generated from the notes you saved, not from an audio recording of your session.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in.
- Neon — the database holding profiles, tracks and comments.
- UploadThing — storage for published audio files.
- Cloudflare — relays connection data when a direct one is not possible, and serves audio.
- Vercel and Fly.io — hosting.
Some of these operate outside the European Economic Area. We are working on documenting the transfer safeguards for each.
Guests
You can join a room from an invite link without an account. In that case we store nothing about you — the display name you choose is kept only in your own browser and shared with the other people in that room while you are in it.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
You can delete any track or comment you have posted from within the app. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, email hello@zyrasound.com. Self-service export and account deletion are not yet built.
